John House is the Executive Director of Science and Technology for PINC AI™ Applied Sciences, the research and analytics division of Premier. He is a biostatistician with expertise in data analysis, study design, data management and survey methodology. House has worked with many different healthcare data sources, including Medicare and Medicaid, the National Cardiovascular Data Registry, claims databases, clinical studies and supplemental sources to randomized clinical trials. Prior to joining Premier, he spent 15 years conducting research at the Mid America Heart Institute for Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City. There, he was a mentor for other statisticians and provided statistical leadership for cardiologists and other medical disciplines through study design of clinical trials and advanced data analyses. Additionally, he advised on measurement strategies for hospital quality improvement initiatives. As manager of the Interventional Cardiology and Imaging Research group, he oversaw the imaging core lab that supported clinical trials and other innovative research using new imaging technologies. House’s research interests include cost-effectiveness methods, adaptive clinical trial design and innovative data visualization techniques. He is currently serving on the Data and Safety Monitoring Board Member (DSMB) for the BURN Trial, with other clinical research experts to monitor the progress of the clinical trial and review safety and effectiveness data while the trial is ongoing. House earned a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree in statistics from Kansas State University.
