Principal, Clinical Solutions and Interventions

Michele Arling is Principal of Clinical Solutions and Interventions for the PINC AI™ Applied Sciences team, Premier’s research and analytics division. Arling is a pharmacist and healthcare executive with a career spanning more than 30 years. In her role, she creates solutions to accelerate evidence into practice. She has developed innovative business models with a deep understanding of healthcare market dynamics, including experience with hospitals and health systems, life science corporations, healthcare providers and patients/consumers. She is widely recognized for her strategic and clinical expertise, market research, business development and execution. Arling has used her extensive clinical and business acumen to build and design several healthcare businesses focused primarily in the ambulatory care space. She has been a longstanding member of many pharmacy associations, including editing and writing for The Consultant Pharmacist and the Journal of American Medial Directors Association. She spent the early years of her career specializing in oncology while working at Rush University Medical Center, UNC Medical Center and Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Arling received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of Illinois at Chicago and did post-graduate work at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
