Principal, Clinical Care Delivery and Engagement

Dr. Mukta Baweja is a Principal of Clinical Care Delivery and Engagement for Premier Applied Sciences® (PAS), the research and analytics division of Premier, and is a practicing nephrologist. Leveraging clinical, quality improvement and research experience, Dr. Baweja provides clinical insights to drive development, collaboration and design of the prospective research and analytic efforts with PAS. Prior to joining Premier, Dr. Baweja designed and served in a role as a nephro-hospitalist at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City in efforts to provide a gateway of communication between hospital divisions and a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care. Her clinical and research work has focused on drug development and effectiveness primarily with antiretrovirals and immunologic therapies, improving access to care for patients with kidney diseases and access to home dialysis modalities, reducing hospital length of stay and readmissions, and increasing utilization of e-consultation for nephrology. Dr. Baweja earned her degree in a combined Bachelor’s and Medical degree program with Rutgers and The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She was certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2014 and by the American Board of Nephrology in 2016.
