Dr. Ning Rosenthal is a Principal and Project Leader for PINC AI™ Applied Research. Her research interests include epidemiology and health economics of infectious disease, cardiovascular disease, autoimmune disease, rare genetic conditions and cancer. During her tenure at Premier, she has worked with many top Life Science companies on a variety of study designs and outcomes. Many of these studies have been presented at national and international scientific conferences and published in peer-reviewed journals. Prior to joining Premier, she was a Senior Research Scientist and Principal Investigator at the California Department of Public Health Genetic Disease Screening Program focusing on outcomes research for screened disorders (e.g., endocrine diseases, metabolic diseases, hemoglobin diseases, severe combined immunodeficiency, cystic fibrosis). Her prior research experience also includes three years in cardiovascular disease epidemiology as co-Principal Investigator at one of the foremost heart hospitals in China; four years in behavioral epidemiology research using various large national and state databases at the University of California-Los Angeles; two years as a medical epidemiologist with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention focusing on infectious disease surveillance, cluster investigations and vaccine effectiveness assessment; two years as the lead evaluator for a 16-million dollar tobacco control project at the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. Dr Rosenthal earned her medical degree in preventive medicine from the West China University of Medical Sciences, master’s degree in public health focusing on Epidemiology from the Peking Union Medical College, and a doctorate degree in epidemiology from the University of California-Los Angeles.
