As Senior Data Architect for Premier Applied Research®, Bernadette Johnson drives design and development of new and/or improved processes, products, technologies and integration pathways for data assets within Premier Applied Sciences®, most notable the Premier Healthcare Database (PHD). She has designed and developed applications automating data extraction and reporting. Before joining Premier, Johnson worked in healthcare-related roles including clinical information systems development, clinical trial data management, clinical economics and health outcomes studies for more than 15 years. Her experience also includes working with GlaxoSmithKline, PPD contract research organization and SAS Institute. Recently Johnson completed Stanford Center for Professional Development’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Certificate program. She has presented and/or taught classes at regional and national SAS meetings on using SAS in the UNIX environment, clinical trials information systems and reporting programming techniques. Her SAS Press publication, Instant ODS (Output Delivery System)!, provides ready-to-use reporting templates for formatting business-ready output. Johnson has co-authored presentations at national meetings and publications appearing in leading medical journals. She earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a Master of Business Administration.
