Cate Polacek is the Senior Manager of Intervention Content for PINC AI™ Applied Sciences, the research and analytics division of Premier. She collaborates with clinical subject matter experts to create compelling research documents, presentations and publications, including study protocols, online learning curricula, clinical guidelines, user guides and case vignettes. Polacek also manages the medical-legal review process for project content materials and conducts research as part of the qualitative research team, for which she has published abstracts, posters and journal articles for a variety of projects. Her expertise includes plain language writing for patient education and health literacy programs, qualitative analytics research for quality improvement programs and medical writing in all major disease states. Her article, “Health Care Professionals’ Perceptions of Challenges to Chronic Pain Management,” has been published in the American Journal of Managed Care. Prior to joining Premier, Polacek was a Senior Medical Writer at xG Health Solutions/Geisinger Health System and a Senior Medical Communications Writer at Resolution Health. She earned her master of library and information science degree from Kent State University and her master of fine art degree in creative writing from National University. She is certified as an Editor in Life Sciences and obtained a Core Certificate in Medical Writing from the American Medical Writers Association.
