Dorothy Baumer is a Principal Research Analyst for PINC AI Applied Research® with more than 10 years of experience in healthcare-related research. She has been involved in interventional research projects involving diabetes education and colorectal screening. Her retrospective research studies cover a variety of conditions such as oncology, pulmonary diseases and gastrointestinal diseases in acute care settings, using univariable and multivariable methods for hypothesis testing. Before joining Premier, she was a Research Associate with the Lovelace Clinic Foundation, where she was responsible for research analysis, database management and data processing. Baumer has a master’s degree in mathematics and she has completed course work for a doctorate in biostatistics. She has many years of programming experience in SAS, SQL and R. Baumer has been involved in presentations of research at national meetings and scientific articles in leading medical journals.
