Senior Director, Life Sciences Program Development

Misty Anderson is a Senior Director of Life Sciences Program Development for the PINC AI Applied Sciences® team, Premier’s research and analytics division. In this role, she deploys and oversees design and intervention projects. Anderson is a nursing leader and clinical educator with management experience in maternal and child health, bereavement, performance improvement, quality assurance and regulatory compliance (including sepsis compliance). Anderson led the pilot project, “Premier Safer Post-Operative Pain Management: Reducing Opioid-related Harm,” and recruited from Premier’s Hospital Improvement Innovation Network (HIIN) for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Partnership for Patients initiative. She has also led an opioid team to ensure compliance with The Joint Commission’s Pain Standards. While at Baptist Health Medical Center, the largest healthcare system in Arkansas, she designed the quality structure for a new hospital and helped open the facility. Anderson earned a Master of Business Administration in healthcare management from Western Governors University and obtained her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Arkansas Tech University. She has a diploma in Registered Nursing from Baptist School of Nursing in Arkansas. Anderson holds a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification and has trained physicians and other leaders. She is also a TeamSTEPPS Master Trainer.
