Nila Sathe

Senior Director, Medical Evidence

Nila Sathe is the Senior Director of Medical Evidence for PINC AI Applied Sciences®, the research and analytics division of Premier. She is a leader in evidence identification, appraisal and synthesis; qualitative research; and survey design. Sathe’s expertise includes narrative, systematic and rapid reviews of biomedical literature; information retrieval and organization; and academic and scholarly communication. She has authored or co-authored 59 peer-reviewed publications and numerous posters presentations, providing new information that has changed clinical practice significantly. For example, publications include: “Tonsillectomy for Obstructive Sleep-Disordered Breathing or Recurrent Throat Infection in Children” [Internet]. Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (US); 2017 Jan.; and “Therapies for Children With Autism Spectrum Disorder: Behavioral Interventions Update” [Internet]. Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (US); 2014 Aug. Sathe is also an occasional reviewer for these journals: Pediatrics, JMIR Public Health and Surveillance, and Systematic Reviews. Her previous roles include Assistant Director for the Vanderbilt University Medical Center Evidence-based Practice Center and Associate Director for Research in the Eskind Biomedical Library at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Sathe also received an academic appointment in Vanderbilt’s Department of Health Policy. She earned her master’s degree in literature and master of library and information studies (MLIS) degree from the University of South Carolina and her bachelor of arts degree in English literature from Furman University.
